These 7 Female Marvel Characters Are Totally Worthy Of Standalone Movies!

As we are entering a new phase of MCU, it's time to take a look around the MCU and look at which female superheroes need movies.

For years, Marvel has made movies that were made mostly for men. But, the world is changing now and given the fact that Captain Marvel was a huge success last year and with Black Widow on its way, it seems like Marvel needs a lot of other female-centric movies. DCEU has released Wonder Woman in 2017 and it single-handedly saved the DCEU from potential ruin. The female superheroes are here and they are here to stay. As we are entering a new phase of MCU, it's time to take a look around the MCU and look at which female superheroes need movies.

1. Valkyrie

Among the biggest names of female superheroes, Valkyrie, played by the brilliant Tessa Thompson is definitely a badass and it is hard to imagine that she doesn't have a movie of her own yet. Her backstory in the comics is enough to fill an entire movie. Her character has been introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, and when we saw her earlier this year in Avengers: Endgame, she lead her people into battle against Thanos. Later on, Thor named her the Queen of Asgard and he went to hitch a ride with the Guardians Of The Galaxy in space.

2. Jessica Jones

Even though Netflix's deal with Jessica Jones is ending, it seems like it is the right time for a Jessica Jones movie. Krysten Ritter played the role of Jessica Jones and she did an amazing job of playing the role of the angry, cynical, heavy-drinking private investigator anti-hero with super strength and the ability to fly. It is taken directly from the pages of the comic books and a lot of Netflix users would likely love to see more from her.

3. Spider-Woman

The entire Spiderman movie franchise was amazingly successful and with the huge success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the time is perfect to introduce Spiderwoman in the MCU. Her alter-ego in 'Into The Spiderverse' is Gwen Stacy, who has been introduced in various Spider-Man movies when Andrew Garfield played the role of Spiderman. A chance of a multi-verse is being hinted right now but is there a chance that Gwen Stacey’s Spider-Woman will be introduced in phase 4?

4. Gamora

Twitter

Gamora's fate is uncertain after the end of 'Avengers: Endgame', but, with the third movie of the Guardians on the way it’s still a good guess that Star-Lord will find her at some point. In the comics, she is one of the most powerful warriors where her hand-to-hand skills are legendary and an entire movie about her heroic quest could be amazing to watch.

5. Nakia And Okoye

Twitter

These two females formed an incredibly powerful duo in the movie 'Black Panther' and the duo could form a great team and will expand the Black Panther universe. The audience loves the powerful Wakandans and exploring that part of the universe with this powerful duo will be a fantastic way to go forward. Another amazing possibility will be taking Nakia's character from the comics where she is the villain Malice. Okoye, Black Panther's most trusted guards could have a face-off with the now-antagonistic Nakia in an epic battle of powerful Wakandans. It goes without saying that it is amazing.

6. Scarlett Witch

Elizabeth Olsen's version of Scarlett Witch seems like one of the most obvious and deserving one. As a character who once belonged to the X-Men, but now back within the control of Marvel, she has already appeared in a number of Marvel movies. One of the oldest members of The Avengers, her character goes back to the very earliest days of the X-Men comic book series in the mid-1960s. Her powers are absolutely extraordinary and can be used in multiple ways. Also, given what Thanos did to her, it will be an amazing story to watch.

7. The Wasp

Twitter

When 'Antman and the Wasp' released in 2018, the audience got to see Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne, who has now suited up as The Wasp. But, Janet Van Dyne, played by Michelle Pfeiffer was an amazing character and with her being stuck in the Quantum Realm for 30 years it will be amazing to explore.
