Love is one of the best feelings and everyone loves a good romantic movie, but did you know some of your favorite love stories are based on real life events.

There may be only a very few people on the earth that don't like love stories or romantic movies. In terms of real-life events, we often think that it might only happen in the movies. But movies also take inspiration from real-life events and we have prepared a list of love movies that are inspired by real-life events. 

1. The Vow



 

The story is based on the lives of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter and in the movie, the roles are played by Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams. The movie tells the story of the couple who had an accident and as a result, his wife suffered from Amnesia. She forgets everything that happened 18 months before the accident and that is exactly from when she met her husband and fell in love. Her memory didn’t recover, but Kim didn’t give up and stayed with her until she fell in love with him again. 

2. Queen of the Desert



 

This movie is based on a biography of the British writer and traveler Gertrude Bell, who is the daughter of wealthy parents, but she has no interest in the social life of London aristocrats. Instead, she went to the East where she fell in love with Henry Gadogan, an Embassy employee played by James Franco.

3. Dangerous Beauty



 

This movie is an adaptation of the biography of one of the most famous and beautiful courtesans of Venice from the 16th century, Veronica Franco. She fell in love with a high-born young man but he cannot become her husband. Her mother gave her the advice to become a Courtesan and because of her beauty and intelligent, she wins the hearts of many men. 

4. The Theory of Everything



 

This movie tells the story of the scientist Stephen Hawking who falls in love with philology student Jane Wilde. But, soon he is diagnosed with a progressive disease and he begins to lose control over his body. But, Jane stayed by him and he continues his research. 

5. The Invisible Woman



 

It tells the story of Charles Dickens played by Ralph Fiennes and a woman named Ellen Ternan, the character played by Felicity Jones. They met back in 1857 when he was 45 and she was 18 and their romance lasted for 13 years until Dickens died.  

6. A Beautiful Mind



 

This movie tells the story of the talented mathematician and Nobel Prize winner John Nash suffering from schizophrenia. Russell Crowe plays the role of Nash and this movie also shows a sincere and pure love of his devoted wife, Alicia Lardé, played by Jennifer Connelly.

This movie also tells the story of the poet Dylan Thomas, who, even though being married met his love Vera Phillips and fell in love with her again. Keira Knightley plays the role of Vera beautifully and will stay with you for a long long time.

It is the silver screen depiction of the love story between the great English writer Jane Austen and Irish lawyer Thomas Lefroy. The parents of the couple thought they could find better partners for their children. 

9. Eat, Pray, Love



 

This autobiographical novel of Elizabeth Gilbert tells us that ordeals are the opportunity to change one’s life for the better. Julia Roberts played an amazing role and we see her embarking on a journey that is extremely fascinating. Not only does she finds happiness but she also finds love with the charming Felipe.  

10. Colonia



 

It tells the story of a young German couple who find themselves in the middle of a military coup that took place in Chile. The young man, who is arrested and sent to Colonia Dignidad and the young woman voluntarily goes there to save the love of her life.
