As we are approaching a new year, there are several shows that are turning 20 years old next year. The stories and the characters may be timeless but the passage of time may make them a memory of the past.

You may be surprised that some of these shows, that you feel like you were watching just yesterday after a long day at school, are actually two decades old. 

1. Naruto

This anime series follows a teenage ninja who embarks on various adventures with his friends and trains hard to become the Hokage or a village leader. He must learn to harness the powers inside him as a ninja to be successful in his endeavor. It first premiered on October 3, 2002, and went on till 2007.
