This movie will tell the story of the downfall of the healthcare company Theranos. The movie is based on a book written by The Wall Street Journal’s John Carreyrou where he explains the circumstances behind the Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes release of what she claimed to be a revolutionary blood testing product, but unfortunately, that did not work. The movie will be produced by Legendary studios. Lawrence is going to play the role of Holmes, who dropped out of Stanford and founded the company in 2003 when she was just 19 years old.
It is a crime drama that will be directed by Luca Guadagnino and Lawrence will star in the lead role as well as serve as the producer. The movie is based on Hannah Kent’s 2013 novel of the same name and will depict the story of Agnes Magnusdottir and she was the last woman to be publicly executed in Iceland in 1830. She was sentenced to death for killing two men and setting fire to their home.
This movie is about Marita Lorenz who is said to have an affair with Fidel Castro and was involved in the CIA’s assassination attempt on Castro. She was a native of Germany and she was incarcerated at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during World War II. After the difficult affair with Castro at the age of 19, she was contacted by the CIA to kill the Cuban leader. Later on, she testified before Congress in the JFK investigations and claimed that she was witness to a conspiracy between the CIA, Cuban operatives and Lee Harvey Oswald to murder the president.
As reported by Variety, Lawrence is going to star in the biopic that is about the socialite Zelda Fitzgerald. Reports suggest that Ron Howard is going to direct the movie and Allison Shearmur will be the producer. The story is going to follow the plot that deals with Zelda, after marrying famed author F. Scott Fitzgerald, and tries to find her own voice in the jazz music scene as her husband rises to fame even more.
