The series follows her as she slowly moves away from the past and starts living the present. The Spanish series is created by Nadia de Santiago, Inés Pintor, and Pablo Santidrián. The Time It Takes had an open-ending that still needs to get explored. Will the show return for season 2? Here is what we know so far.
As of this writing, The Time It Takes is not yet renewed for season 2. But there is a chance that Netflix will confirm the show for another season. The first season of The Time It Takes premiered on Netflix on October 29, 2021, with 10 episodes, all released on the same day. Each episode only runs for about 13 minutes and received praises for its format and the chemistry between the leading actors. Co-creator Nadia de Santiago said that Netflix is interested in producing short format content. However, the decision always depends on how well the show performs on the platform. As the episodes unfold, she slowly comes to terms with the heartbreak and leaves the past behind. The series covered how Lina and Nico's relationship slowly died despite their chemistry. The season ended with Lina preparing to move to India. Nico arrived at Lina's doorstep and admitted that he still loved her. If The Time It Takes gets renewed for season 2, we expect to see Lina's reaction after knowing that Nico still has feelings for her. Will she and Nico get back together?
If the show returns for season 2, we expect to see co-creator Nadia de Santiago (‘Cable Girls‘) again as Lina as well as Álvaro Cervantes as Nico. The new season will most likely cover a new chapter in their relationship.
