Game Adaptations are in right now, while not every game adaptation is as critically acclaimed as The Last Of Us, Many of them are rising up to the occasion and stepping into the world of game adaptations. The Super Marios Bros. will be an adaptation of, the most popular video game IP. Yay! Details are still under wraps but here's the good news, the wait time is almost over as the movie is set to release in a month...
Fans won't have to wait way too long to experience The Super Mario Bros in the theatres. The movie comes out on the big screen on April 5, 2023, in the U.S. and other countries like China, Mexico, Italy, and France. The movie will also release in countries like Canada, Argentina, Germany, and the U.K.
The plot is still a mystery! The film's official site has no synopsis or logline whatsoever. The only description we found was, “a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros.”
However many things have been released and considering the nature of the popular game, educated guesses can work! We also got the trailer which dropped plenty of details as well. It suggests that Mario and his brother, Luigi, come from Earth amd travel to, or get transported into, the Mushroom Kingdom, where Bowser is planning to take over the whole area.
The voice cast is star-studded. Chris Pratt stars as the voice of the protagonist, Mario. Joining him as Luigi is Anya-Taylor-Joy. We also have Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, and that is about it for the cast so far. Keep an eye on the page to get further updates.
The trailer came in November 2022, it features many scenes, and barely hints at the plot. Well, we aren't complaining as we like a trailer that doesn't spoil the movie for us. The trailer also includes many easter eggs like Mario Kart-like sequence and also the rainbow road. We can't wait to catch the movie in the cinemas, check out the trailer below...
