The update that will be free to all simmers is planned to drop on March 14. This is what the Devs had to say, "From the very first days of this project, the objective the team rallied around was to surpass player expectations referring the babies," production lead Graham Nardone said. "Our vision to accomplish that was to add infants as an entirely new age, resulting in a much more natural progression for Sims' early stages of life."

The promo was absolutely adorable with diverse infants featuring the tagline, "Create Your Little One" The promo video makes sure to highlight the key features like different styles that we are going to talk about shortly and also cute traits that have been added to each infant. Infants that will be introduced will be customizable like any other life stage that is available in the game. Players will be able to choose everything, like clothes, hair accessories, glasses, and even birthmarks and stuff. Infants will also have unique and new interactions for players to enjoy.

"So now, in the game, while holding an infant you're able to sit down while still holding them. You can also talk to them, nurse them, and you can even give your infants to another Sim," software engineer Carl Zhang said.

The Devs also offered the players some new footage that shows breastfeeding. The Devs also said that they specifically worked on adding more ways to socialize and play with pets and children.

"We want all our Sims to share in the fun when these adorable infants arrive in-game." The Dev said on the stream. However, they did not talk about finer details like the effects on Lifespan length and the number of days it will take the infant to grow up.
