The manga was adapted into an anime that currently has two seasons and a movie. 'The Quintessential Quintuplets' is a harem anime following the life of a high school student Futaro Uesugi, who got hired as a private tutor for a group of identical quintuplets: Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano. One of the sisters will eventually become Futaro's bride, but her identity is still yet to be revealed in the anime. Will there be a season 3? Here's what we know.
As of now, there has been no confirmation about the renewal of 'Quintessential Quintuplets' for Season 3. However, a movie was released in May 2022 that continued the events of season 2. How does the anime movie impact the series and the possibility of a third season? To understand, let's take a look back at the source material. The manga series concluded its serialization in 2020, with a total of 122 chapters published in 14 volumes. The first season of the anime adapted the first 32 chapters of the manga, while the second season increased its pacing by eliminating some story arcs and limiting the dialogue. Consequently, the second season covered up to chapter 86 of the manga. The movie served as a sequel to the second season of the anime series. Although there's still plenty of source material left to cover, it's possible that the movie could bring an end to the anime. The anime has not yet been renewed for a third season. However, assuming that it will be, we can predict its potential release date based on several factors.
