He was coming at me again with his fists up but Sara stopped him by holding his arms. “He’s a friend. We don’t hurt friends.”
Ronald pulled his arms out of Sara’s cat like grasp squinting his face making it uglier than it already was.
Sara helped me up from the floor and said, “Only I get to push you and get away with it.”
“How nice,” I said. There was a hint of sarcasm in my voice and Sara caught on to it because she rolled her eyes.
“We need to get out of here,” Jack said, who was the one with a face and head full of hair like a forest. “I can’t stand the smell and look of this place anymore.”
“But where are we going to go?” Johnny asked.
“We could either complete the quest or head back home,” Jordan intervened.
“Completing the quest will be too dangerous. That’s what got us in this mess in the first place,” Johnny said.
“In this state we not going to last a second out there,” Jinx said.
“Jinx is right,” Jack started. “We need weapons.”
“Wait. What quest are you talking about?” I asked.
“You don’t need to know,” Ronald said.
“We might as well let him know Ronald. He’s one of we now,” Jack said. “We was sent by Papa Bois to spy on the Midnight Robber. We were supposed to get inside information on his security so we could breach it when the time was right.”
“We was planning an attack,” Jinx added.
“Well based on what I hear. I think the Midnight Robber heading to Mas Camp soon,” I said.
“If the Midnight Robber attack Mas Camp now, we wouldn’t stand a chance,” Johnny said. “We need to head back.”
“We already come to that conclusion Johnny,” Jack said, annoyed. “But we can’t just waltz outta here unarmed.”
“The Prime Minister’s office has plenty weapons,” I said. “I just came from there. If we’re lucky we might be able to sneak in and get some weapons without any trouble.”
“That’s probably the best option we have,” Johnny said.
“You remember how to get there?” Jack asked.
“Yeah, yeah. Follow me.”
Sara unlocked the handcuffs on my hands then I led the way.
The Red House was an extremely large building so it was only normal to find most of it empty. There were only so many people actually in the building. The place was so empty that it was kind of creepy. There was not one soul in sight as we marched through the abandoned corridors.
“They probably leave already to Mas Camp,” Jinx said.
“The Midnight Robber not really much of a daytime kind of fella,” Jack said. “He would most likely opt to attack after midnight when he’s stronger. Right now he’s just a normal man.”
“Even just a man could be dangerous,” Jinx said.
Jack was the first to open the Prime Minister’s office which screeched open slowly. He crept in, keeping his eyes focused for any movements or shadows but there was none. The place was empty and there were swords and guns littered all throughout.
As soon as I realized that the place was empty I sprung up to a long shot gun that hung on the wall but before picking it up Ronald said, “What you think you doing?”
