The Midnight Robber: A Novel [ACT I: Mas]

I laughed a little then said, “copyrighting it will defeat the purpose.” I paused for a while watching her as she just stood there and said, “you still looking tense. Relax a little. I know that a lot just happen but as I said to you a million times before, you can’t let your roof….”

“I know I know. Fall off in the rain,” Megan intervened.

“Exactly.”

“What if during the rain, the wind blows away your roof, then what?” Megan asked.

“Weather the storm and when it done, build a stronger roof,” I answered.

“There you go again being Mr. Positive,” Megan said.

“I’m worried too. Maybe more worried than you. But my father always taught me to stay positive no matter the situation. He taught me to be the light when everybody loses their spark. He thought me to always protect the people in my charge, no matter what. When everyone else’s roof is blown off, you have to fight hell and highwater to make sure that your roof stay on for the sake of everyone who no longer have a roof. My father would not want me to sulk away and cry. He would want me to keep my chin up and hold on to my life. I’m staying positive because it’s what he would want me to do.”

“Your father sound like he was a great man.”

“The greatest. Maybe someday I would be able to meet him again in heaven. But until that day I’m not going to let my roof fall off in the rain.”

Megan smiled.

“You still look tense,” I said as I patted the bed and said. “It’s comfy.”

Megan slowly walked up to the bed and also threw herself on it and she shuffled closer. She placed her arm over my lower chest and laid her head on my upper chest with her eyes shut tight. I really wasn’t sure what to do so I just huddled my arm around her and stroked her shoulders and upper arm gently. Next thing you know, we were cuddling on the bed. This time, on purpose.

“This is comfy,” Megan said softly with her eyes still closed.

“I told you so,” I said. “I’m sorry that you didn’t find the antidope to save your moms though.”

“Forget about it. It’s probably only a matter of time.”

“A matter of time for what?” I asked.

“Just forget about it,” She said as she opened her eyes. “I thought about what you said to me outside. You made me think.”

“About what?”

“About time and how we have to make every second count.”

I wasn’t sure if she was talking about the time that I told her that I liked her, or some other thing that I said that I couldn’t remember. But I just agreed with her, gazed directly into her eyes and said, “we have all the time in the world right now. Let’s make it count.”

Our eyes connected and there was a sudden spark that went off in my head and trickled through my entire body. A spark must have also gone off in Megan’s head because she suddenly stretched her neck, pushing her face towards me until our unfamiliar lips touched. It may sound a bit clichéd but it felt like magic. The kiss started off innocent but she then threw her legs over me causing my lower abdominal area to be in between her legs. Our lips were glued together as she did it. Her hair smelt like oil. Not like the disgusting smell that came from the water, it was just oil. It was definitely the sexiest oil I ever smelt. I dragged my hands down her sides until they were wrapped snugly around her big butt. Her breasts laid pressed against my chest. I could have felt her heart racing and I was sure that she felt mine as well. The city of San Fernando was only a few days away from destruction but that was far from my mind. The only thing that was on my mind was to make every single second that I had with Megan on the bed count. It was time to take it to the other level. It was time to take it off. I began to zip off her tight leather suit from the back until only her bra straps and her soft, slightly heated skin could have been felt. She rose up separating our lips and she began to remove the rest of the leather suit. The leather suit had both the top and bottom in one so she just simply flapped the top half of the suit over her butt and over my hands that were snuggled there. All she had on was a black bra and the lower portions of the leather suit with the top half flapped over her butt. She leaned back in and continued kissing me passionately on the lips. I slowly began to push the rest of the leather suit off. I was planning on going all in and she seemed to be ready to join me on that quest. However, before I could have finished pushing the rest of the suit off, a sound went DING! I quickly positioned my head to be able to see the elevator and just as I expected, the elevator light came on.
