The titular bounty hunter returns for more action and adventure with his travel companion Grogu and aims to redeem his past transgressions this time. With two successful seasons, The Mandalorian performed considerably well with the audience and critics alike and a third season was predictably happening anyways. We finally have an official release date for the third season and guess what, Star Wars fans don’t have to wait long for it as the third season of The Mandalorian premieres on March 1, 2023. Along with that Disney+ has released an exclusive 46-second clip that shows Pedro Pascal’s Mando conversing with Greef Karga, a character played by Carl Weathers. Greef was last spotted on the fourth episode of the second season. We can also see Grogu looking adorable while spinning in the chair and grabbing some snacks for himself. The plot of the upcoming season is kept tightly under wraps but so far, we have access to a few details. The next season will surely focus on the struggle over the Darksaber, a powerful Mandalorian weapon that signifies power and authority and makes the wielder the rightful ruler of Mandalore. By the end of the second season, we have seen that the weapon was with Moff Gideon until Din Djarin won it in combat. Bo-Katan refused to take the weapon when it was offered to her. So it seems that Mandalorian politics might take the center stage in the show for the third season. We might properly get to see the world of Mandalore which was left in ruins by the Imperial attack.
The third season will see the obvious return of Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze. The season will be produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations, and Jon Favreau will serve as the showrunner.
