The Book of Boba Fett will debut on the streaming service in December 2021. So what does this mean for The Mandalorian? Listen in, Star Wars fans!

When Will 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Release?

According to Tech Radar, since season 3 will start filming straight after The Book of Boba Fett production, a 2022 release date seems likely, but we'll have to wait for an official confirmation.

'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Plot: What Is It All About?

Spoilers ahead! We saw that season 2 ended with Grogu leaving Mando to train with Luke Skywalker, so we expect the next season will mostly continue from there. Grogu went off with Luke to be trained in the ways of the Force. "He is strong with the Force, but talent without training is nothing. I will give my life to protect the Child... but he will not be safe until he masters his abilities." Mando promises he'll see Grogu again but when will that be? There may be another big plot twist as well. One big question on our minds is who will wield the Darksaber? So many unanswered questions...Season 3 looks promising!

Who Will Be In The Cast Of 'The Mandalorian' Season 3?

The Disney+ show stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Giancarlo Esposito. Like we said Breaking Bad alumnus Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon has a meatier role in the upcoming season. "I have a feeling you'll see more of me next season," Esposito told EW. "More than likely you're going to see a lot of Moff Gideon. I can't be sure of that, but it seems as though this iconic journey that they want you to feel it." Esposito added, "I think you're going to start to see other storylines start to creep in. When we start to realize there's such a deep connection [between the show's storylines and] the rest of the galaxy and what's really happening. Maybe you'll get an inkling of what he wants."

Fans are hopeful that Pedro and Grogu will return in The Mandalorian season three. According to Digital Spy Pascal's stunt double, Brendan Wayne confirmed his return in an Instagram post ( which now seems unavailable) following the finale which said: No spoilers!!! But just in case the world didn't know yet Pedro Pascal is incredible. The journey they wrote for him this season was so beautiful. The fact that Pedro went beyond the page and made this epic. Thank you Pedro Pascal. Yes!! Pedro is coming back. There was never any question. DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ.

Other possible returnees include Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff).
