A prequel to the Kingsman franchise, The King's Man will let you discover the origins of the earliest independent intelligence agency.
Discover the origins of the stylish, secret service agents and their weaponized wardrobes in the Kingsman's prequel, The King's Man.
This artistically titled prequel will take us back in time before the events of the Kingsman film series: The Secret Service (2015) and The Golden Circle (2017).
We will be introduced to an entirely different cast led by the Lord Voldemort himself, Ralph Fiennes.
While we won't be seeing Taron “Eggsy” Egerton and his mentor, Colin “Harry” Firth on this prequel, we are expecting to see a similar partnership in the form of the Duke of Oxford (Fiennes) and Conrad (Dickinson).
Let's take a look at all the things you need to know about the upcoming film.
The King's Man is set to release on September 18, 2020.
The release has been delayed for seven months. The King's Man is originally due to release last year and was pushed back to February 2020, then delayed again for September.
No official statements were released to explain the delay but fans think that Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox might have something to do with it.
An origin story to the Kingsman franchise, The King's Man is a harrowing tale of the "rise of the civilized". It follows the Duke of Oxford (Fiennes) as he builds the very first independent intelligence agency to stop a war that is set to kill millions of people.
The Duke works closely with his protégé, a young soldier named Conrad (Dickinson), to save the world from the demise plotted by history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds. The duo will give us a 1900s version of the Eggsy/Harry Hart partnership.
We can also expect to see the 1900's versions of the iconic locations such as Kingsman mansion and the organization’s Savile Row front.
Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn is coming back to direct the prequel.
The Kingsman film series is based on a comic book of the same title created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar.
Leading the cast members is Ralph Fiennes as Duke of Oxford. Harris Dickinson will play the role of Conrad, the Duke's protégé.
Gemma Arterton will play Polly who will also assist Conrad in the film.
Other stars on the prequel are Daniel Brühl (as Felix Yusupov), Charles Dance (as Arthur), Rhys Ifans (Grigori Rasputin), and Matthew Goode (as Tristan).
20th Century has released two trailers for The King's Man.
An official teaser trailer was released on July 15 last year, while the official trailer 2 was released on September 30, 2019.

The Eggsy and Harry saga is most likely to continue in the future. There are a couple of Kingsman sequels rumored and Egerton already made it known that his character is coming back.
“I’m sad that I won’t be on that journey with him but it’s not the last you’ve seen of Eggsy,” Egerton said via Yahoo Movies UK.
