The Innocents Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

The year 2018 saw the introduction of the eight-episode Supernatural British drama The Innocents. The show follows the story of two teenagers, June and Harry, who fall in love and run away together. However, their journey is quickly derailed when June begins to exhibit strange and dangerous abilities. As June struggles to control her powers, she and Harry are forced to confront the dark forces that are hunting them.

Netflix subscribers fell in love with the show and are highly anticipating a second season. Is Netflix going to grant our wish?

Are We Going To Get The Innocents Season 2?

So Netflix has not come out and blatantly canceled the show but it is very likely that it is. It is even listed as canceled on Wikipedia. It seems like The Innocents was just another one of Netflix’s silent cancelations.

It was also reported in an article by TVline that “sources confirm for me that the series will not see Season 2.”

I think we can safely assume that The Innocents has been canceled and we shouldn’t hold our breath for a second season.

Is There Material For The Innocents Season 2?

Of course, there is. The first season ended with a major cliffhanger which could easily propel the story into a second season. Harry gets trapped in a car and June gets badly injured and the only way for her to survive was to shift into Harry and find help. Harry’s mother then interrupts her mid-shift and she turns into her instead. What happens after this? We could only find out in a potential season 2.

In season 2, June would most likely be just as well known as her mom and will have to go on the run, while Harry’s mother has to deal with the deaths of both Harry and Lewis. Also, Elena is in the custody of Norwegian Police, but it is likely she’ll escape to help her daughter once she finds out about her situation.
