The Haunting Of Hill House was a huge hit for the streaming giant Netflix. Now, a second season is in the works but it will not be continuing with the Craine family and Hill House. This time around Mike Flanagan will delve into a completely different horror tale, adapting the gothic literature novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. The horror series is now an anthology series and the next season is called "The Haunting Of Bly Manor". Here's everything we know so far.

When Is The Release Date Of The Haunting Of Bly Manor?

It has been confirmed by Netflix that The Haunting Of Bly Manor will arrive sometime in 2020. The exact day in 2020 has yet to be revealed but production for the season started in September 2019. It took The Haunting Of Hill House one year from the start of production to release so we can expect The Haunting Of Bly Manor sometime in Fall 2020.

Filming officially wrapped up on February 21st, 2020 according to director Mike Flanagan.



 

What Is The Plot Of The Haunting Of Bly Manor?

The official plot for the film adaptation has yet to be revealed. However, the plot will be taken directly from that of The Turn of The Screw by Henry James:

On a Christmas Eve night during a gathering a friends, ghost stories are being shared. One of the guests, Douglas, begins to tell the tale of two children (Flora and Miles) and his sister’s governess. A handsome bachelor hired the governess to take care of his niece and nephew at his country home in Bly. When strange events transpire on within the manor and the grounds the governess soon becomes convinced the estate is haunted.

Who Is In The Cast Of The Haunting Of Bly Manor?

Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Victoria Pedretti, who played Luke Crain and his younger twin Nell, will be back. Yes, you read that right! Despite it being an anthology series, the two actors will be returning to play different characters.

Jackson-Cohen will play Peter, “a resident of Bly Manor, who makes life very difficult for everyone who lives there.”

Pedretti will play the governess, Dani, who "looks after two very unusual children."



 

Some other members of the cast from The Haunting Of Hill House have also confirmed their involvement in the new season. Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Lulu Wilson, and Catherine Parker are all going to be a part of The Haunting Of Bly Manor.
