We can expect an emotional journey as the gang is set to work with 10 heroes in the new season.
The Fab Five are back for the sixth season of Queer Eye and are bringing their magic into the lives of a new set of people. This time, the makeovers will be happening in the southern state of Texas. Netflix released the trailer for the new season just a few days before the season premiere.
"Grab a Texas-sized box of tissues y’all because the Fab 5 are bringing love and light to the Lone Star State," the trailer stated. "Watch as they work their life-changing magic yet again and transform the lives of deserving Texans." Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, and Jonathan Van Ness will be bringing their love and light back in the new season.
The trailer begins with the gang back in their SUV as they drive to the people whose lives they are about to uplift. In this sneak peek we get a look at the people who will be getting a makeover from the Fab Five. They met a two-step dance instructor, a rancher in need of better self-care, a bodybuilder learning to feel more comfortable in their own body, a prom to be planned in just a week, and many others. There will be a total of 10 people who will be featured in the season.
"2020 was a hard year for all of us," Brown explains in the trailer. Porowski adds: "It's been a year of a pandemic, so much change." France states, "However, it's a moment to really remind ourselves of what really matters to us, which is each other." We can expect an emotional journey as the gang also work with a baker whose bakery is on the brink of closing and a man who has lost his wife. "If you want true healing, you gotta own up to what you did and confront it," Brown can be heard saying to one of the people. We will be getting 10 episodes of 45 minutes in this season.
Queer Eye is the reboot of the 2003 Queer Eye for the Straight Guy series that aired on Bravo. It is a nine-time Emmy winner, with four consecutive wins for the Outstanding Structured Reality Program. Over the course of the first five seasons and the special episodes, the Fab Five have been to Georgia, Australia, Missouri, Kansas, Japan, and Pennsylvania. The previous season as well as the current season were filmed in the midst of the pandemic. "It felt really good to kind of give everybody that virtual hug," said Berk when the fifth season aired on Netflix last year.
The sixth season is coming on December 31 and what a great way to kick off the new year! As for the trailer, you can watch it here:
