Since it came out, Netflix’s sci-fi show The Eternaut (El Eternauta in Spanish) has been making waves in the post-apocalyptic streaming space. Fans are so excited for a second season that they can hardly contain their excitement.
The 1957 Argentine science fiction graphic book by Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López was turned into a Spanish-language Netflix series. The plot is the same as the original, but technology like cellphones are used in the story.
The show is about what happens after a strange storm in Buenos Aires, Argentina, kills everything it touches. To stay alive after this alien threat, people need to wear gas masks and layers of wet clothing. Rafael Darín plays Juan Salvo, one of these people. In this world after the end of the world, Juan and his friends try to stay alive and find their lost daughter Clara (played by Mora Fisz).
In a way similar to how The Last of Us and other popular survival series handle their stories, the sci-fi show stays true to the source material while also giving the characters more depth.
Will There Be A Second Season Of The Eternaut?
Yes! Netflix has finally picked up a second season of The Eternaut.

While it is not officially confirmed, in the same interview with Deadline, producer Matías Mosteirin stated, “We believe that we will manage to close the whole story in a beautiful way, with probably eight more episodes.”
