‘The End of the F***ing World’ Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

The End of the F***ing World is a dark comedy-drama series about two unlikely teenagers with dark pressing issues who found love in each other. Based on Charles Forsman‘s mini-comics, The End of the F***ing World was adapted into a television series with Charlie Covell as a screenplay writer. It’s been four years since season 2 was released, are Alyssa and James still coming back? Let’s find out.

Will There Be The End of the F***ing World Season 3?

It looks like season 2 will be the end of the F***ing series. Before season 2’s release, screenwriter Charlie Covell expressed she had no plans to produce a third season for The End of the F***ing World.

“I don’t think you’re going to get another series… I think sometimes it’s good to just stop things, and I hope when you see the end, you’ll agree.”

“I think you can push things, but this feels like an actual end. Sorry,” Covell told the press as reported by Digital Spy.

It’s such a shame to think that the award-winning series is indeed about to end, but it looks like nothing can change Covell’s mind now.

The End of the F***ing World Season 3 Release Date: When Can We See It?

Season 3 isn’t happening unless Covell changes her mind and picks up the series. However, that seems unlikely at this point. It’s been five years since season 2 was released internationally on Netflix, and until now, Covell remains resolved with her decision. Covell’s currently busy penning the script for Kaos, an upcoming Greek and Roman mythology series with a modern twist set to release on Netflix.

The End of the F***ing World Season 3 Cast: Who Could Return?

Covell already said she has no plans to create season 3, but just assuming some lucky star changes her mind, we’re expecting to see the following cast members reprise their roles.

Lead stars Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden will be back as James and Alyssa if season 3 happens. There wouldn’t be The End of the F***ing World without them, and the two stars are well aware of it.

“It just wouldn’t work [without us both],” Barden told the Guardian. “The show is Alyssa and James together, you know – that’s what it is.”

Well, we sure hope to see these two again, but till Covell changes her mind, Alyssa and James’ return would only seem like a big wish upon a star.
