The Duffer Brothers have George Luqueado episodes of Stranger Things without telling anyone.

Stranger Things

The world of Stranger Things has been secretly changing and you may have to start the series all the over again to understand it all.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the show, have admitted to editing some parts of the past seasons without announcing it to viewers.

“We've 'George Luqueado' things people don't know about,” Matt Duffer revealed.

This statement refers to George Lucas and his habit of editing previous movies in the Star Wars franchise years after release.

The Duffer Brothers have also revealed that they will be making a change to an episode in season 2 that revealed that Will's birthday is on March 22nd. There was an inconsistency in season 4 that shows that everyone had forgotten Will's birthday, which is quite "sad" and did not make much narrative sense.

Will's Birthday will change to May 22

Will's new birthday will be changed to May 22nd.

"But we were talking about it yesterday, and I think we're going to do like George Lucas."

It was also revealed by Ross Duffer that some visual effects were changed in the fourth season episodes.

“Netflix is… I don't think they've allowed people to mod in opening week and even the weekend. And we said, 'Well, why not?' And he [Netflix] was like, 'Well, it makes us nervous.' And we thought, 'Well, maybe we'll try it this time.' And it turned out well,” Duffer said.

"I'm glad we've turned 'George Lucas' into a verb," he added.

Even though it's a bit annoying to know that past episodes were being changed, it's also great to know that Will Byer's birthday is no longer forgotten, or else it would just be incredibly depressing. I would wonder why Will is still even friends with Mike and El anymore.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 is set to premiere on July 1st, 2022.
