Just like most amazing series are based on spectacular light novels, 'The Devil Is A Part-Timer,' which is called Hataraku Maō-sama! in Japanese, is also based on a light novel series by Satoshi Wagahara. The novel was published for the first time on February 10, 2011, and soon inspired a manga series of the same name, which got published on December 27, 2011. After some years passed, the light novel series, Hataraku Maō-sama! got adapted into an anime show by White Fox, and fans finally got a chance to see their favorite anime on-screen in April 2013. Will There Be Season 2 Of 'The Devil Is A Part-Timer'?

Let's consider every bit of information we have—Satoshi Wagahara, who is the author and responsible for the original light novel series, has put up all efforts to make the next season happen. However, a few things depend on him for it to happen. The author himself is the biggest fan of the anime. He claims that even if the studio responsible for making the anime adaptation is about to release the next season, it does not guarantee that it is possible for them.

He also noted that "anime is also a business" and hinted that 'The Devil Is A Part-Timer!' Season 2 is possible if only people who are responsible for the television adaptation believe that they will have better income surpassing the expenses. In short, things depend on the commercial advisability of the franchise. Frankly, the entire thing depends on the studio White Fox, whether they want to invest in giving this show a renewal, as they are already busy with other projects and wouldn't want to put their effort on a series that came long back.

Is There Any Possibility For 'The Devil Is A Part-Timer's' Renewal?

There are possibilities everywhere, and 'Hataraku Maō-sama!' has a slight chance for its renewal as the original light novel consists of 26 volumes so far. Simultaneously, the first season of the anime adaptation constituted thirteen episodes. We know for sure that there are enough source materials that should be sufficient to make many television seasons. Also, the fact that when the first season came out, it was a big success among the viewers. Even though the author will continue the franchise and will most probably release more and more light novel series, it is not necessary that White Fox studio be interested in giving it a renewal. However, we know for a fact that there might be another studio that might pick the light novel for adaptation and surprise the fans.

Yes, the streaming giant might play a key role in the future in giving this anime series another chance, as it invests billions in the anime content. Even though neither Netflix nor J.C.Staff has yet expressed their interest in the series. Therefore, we can just hope for now.
