The Batman

Robert Pattinson's Batman is currently crushing it in the box office and shows no signs of slowing down. The Matt Reeves directed film is now in its second weekend and the drop at the box office outperforms the likes of Marvel, Spider-Man, and the SnyderVerse.

The Batman's second weekend saw only a drop of 51%. And according to Deadline, if you take away the previews, the drop is only 41%. This is a stellar performance, especially compared to other box office behemoths.

The average decline of a Marvel film is currently 63%. The new phase 4 group of films saw some big drops in its second weekend. Black Widow (-67.8%), Shang-Chi (-54%), and Eternals (-62.3%).

The Batman also surpassed all three of these films' total gross in just its second week. The Batman is indeed crushing the box office right now.

The Batman's second weekend drop is also way ahead of Marvel's big box office heavy hitters. Spider-Man: No Way Home saw a -67.5% drop in its second weekend and The Avengers: Endgame saw a -58.7% drop.

At this rate, The Batman could even surpass Endgame at the box office, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The Batman also outperformed the second weekend drop of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy: The Dark Knight (-53%), and Dark Knight Rises (-61%).

Then there is the Synderverse films which also paled in comparison: Man of Steel (-64.6%), Batman v. Superman (-69%), and Justice League (-56%).

Yeah, it seems like The Batman is getting lots of attention and keeping it. The reviews for the film are incredibly good with an 85% score on the Tomatometer.
