The very popular isekai anime series that goes by the name That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime dropped its second season back in September 2021. When Will That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Return for Season 3?

During an early screening of the film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond, the official confirmation was announced. This means that we will see a season 3, that's for sure, but only time will tell when. The announcement came with a visual via Crunchyroll that showed hero Rimuru facing off against Hinata Sakaguchi at the Ten Great Saints. After the major success of the film, it was announced that the third season will begin broadcasting in Japan in the Spring of 2024.

But wait, there's more. In celebration of the show's 10-year anniversary, the official site and social media channels have listed a set of events. First up, series creator, Fuse, will be gracing us with a brand-spankin' new short story. But it doesn't stop there! They're teaming up with Yuzo Takada, the genius behind the legendary "3X3 Eyes" series, to bring us a manga adaptation of the story. This manga will be serialized in the Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine.

There will also be a three-part OVA extravaganza. They will be animating the beloved Coleus' Dream side story. It is set to drop this coming Fall in 2023.

They also turned our favorite slime adventure into a stage play that started in August 2023 where we got to witness our beloved characters come to life right before our eyes. It's like stepping into the world of slimes but without the sticky mess.

And finally, the cherry on top of this epic celebration cake. The third season of the anime is on its way, and the teaser visual has given us a sneak peek into some jaw-dropping action. Rimuru, our beloved slime hero, is about to go head-to-head with Hinata Sagakuchi, one tough opponent. This battle is gonna be epic. We're talking about a clash of titans here!

The 10th-anniversary celebrations are going to be epic.

What Can We Expect From That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3?

The anime is based on a series of light novels, which are mainly for the YAs. Written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, the series is now 17 volumes lengthy. So as far as the source material coverage is concerned, there's still a long, long way to go before the anime can catch up with the novels. We see Rimuru become a Demon Lord, and his subordinate citizens transform into an immortal army. We also see that Demon Lord Milim Nava has destroyed the Beast Kingdom Eurazania, and Demon Lord Frey has killed Demon Lord Carrion. In part two, the anime covered the sixth volume of the novels and also showed the fallout from the invasion of Tempest and many other events. We can't wait to find up what will happen next in this world.
