Will There Be 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann' Season 2?

The first season of 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann' premiered on April 1, 2007. It has a total of 27 episodes, which concluded on September 30, 2007. The anime was a huge success. Sadly, there is still no news about its second season.

You are probably one of the anime fans who have been disappointed with false news about 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann' Season 2. There have been numerous rumors in the past about the anime's return. These rumors usually come in April, the same month when the first season of the anime was released more than a decade ago. Sadly, these rumors are just as it is, rumors.

Instead of a second season, the anime creators decided to give us a parallel story anthology series that has 5-minutes long musical shorts. That is not what the audience wanted, and, understandably, most anime fans hated it.

Although some anime get renewed after decades, it seems like it will no longer be the case for 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
