Netflix is releasing 'Sweet Girl', an action thriller starring Jason Momoa as a doting father and grieving husband with a mission to seek revenge for the death of his wife.
Aside from starring in the lead role, Momoa will also serve as co-producer of the film along with Brian Andrew Mendoza, and director Brad Peyton.

'Sweet Girl' is coming to Netflix on August 20, 2021. The film has been in development since 2019. In July 2019, it was announced that Jason Momoa is starring and co-producing the movie.
“I’m excited to partner with Netflix once again,” Momoa said in a statement via Variety. “I’m putting a dream team together from Brad and Jeff to my best friend, Brian, who has been my partner for over 10 years. It’s a dream come true to collaborate with him and deliver his vision.”
Sweet Girl entered production on November 11, 2019, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and wrapped on February 11, 2020.

Jason Momoa stars as Raymond "Ray" Cooper, a grieving husband who vows to seek revenge after his ailing wife was killed due to the machinations of a big and corrupt pharmaceutical company. In the process, he must also protect his daughter Rachel (played by Isabela Merced), who is now the only family member he has left.
Netflix has already released the official trailer for 'Sweet Girl' and it sees Mamoa doing all he can to fight for his family. 'Sweet Girl' is directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza. The film serves as his feature directorial debut. Philip Eisner, Gregg Hurwitz, and Will Staples wrote the script.
The cast list is headed by Aquaman's Jason Momoa, who plays Raymond "Ray" Cooper, the father who is out to seek justice for the death of his wife.
Transformers: The Last Knight's Isabela Merced stars as Rachel Cooper, Ray's daughter. Milena Rivero plays the younger version of the character.
