HBO's Succession got everything that Game of Thrones has, except for the dragons and magic. Dysfunctional Family, Lots of Backstabbing, organized chaos, you name it, they got it. Showrunner Jesse Armstrong's fictional version of the Murdoch media empire is dramatic, chaotic, and everything in between! The third season of Succession dropped back in October 2021 and proved why it is one of the best TV shows of all time. The Succession season 4 was given the go-ahead by HBO even before Season 3 ended. HBO is playin', playin' like a pro, see! Here's everything we know about the upcoming season of the Succession.
HBO has confirmed that Succession season 4 will begin streaming on HBO Max and Sky Atlantic in Spring 2023 that is between March and June. So it's safe to say that it's only a matter of time before we find out.
The series follows the story of the Roy family, who runs a media and entertainment conglomerate. The members of the family mainly include father Logan Roy and his children Kendall, Roman, and Siobhan along with Greg and Tom. Following the fallout of Kendall's backstabbing in season one, last year's episodes focus more on each of the Roy siblings giving the actors plenty of room to shine with their performances which they did. For the majority of the season, we have watched the three siblings trade insults from time to time but also support each other when they really needed each other. People can't wait to find out what's in store for them, especially after the cliffhanger. The official Synopsis of the fourth season was released back in June
In the 10-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed.A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.
With Logan agreeing to a buyout of Waystar Royco, we are still yet to find out what will come out of his decision to sell Waystar to Matsson. We also don't know what will become of the three Siblings trying to fathom the move their father just made. Everyone is going through something on an individual level as well, Roman confided in Gerri who has now turned her back on him for her own interest, then there's Kendall whose mental health really needs proper care. Shiv has been betrayed by her own husband Tom and Logan is more unpredictable than ever. Only time will tell what's in it this, for the Roy family.
The family is on the Battlefield at the moment, so it's safe to say that every soldier will return. Team Logan, which consists of Tom (Matthew Macfadyen), Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun), Gerri (J Smith Cameron), Frank (Peter Friedman), Karl (David Rasche), and of course the OG (Brian Cox). Then there's the team which isn't a team if you know what I mean. It consists of Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin), and then we have Connor (Alan Ruck) who is hardly a part of the dirty game.
In October HBO confirmed the return of the show with a brand new teaser trailer, check it out below. Also, let's take a moment for HBO and its OSTs. Wonderous!
