'Stranger Things' Star Sadie Sink Might Be Joining MCU's 'Thunderbolts' as Songbird

Thunderbolts also marks the return of some familiar faces from other Marvel projects.

Sadie Sink is off to a great start in 2023 after she received rave reviews for her performance in last year’s The Whale and Dear Zoe. She also stole the heart of millions after getting cast in the All Too Well short film which was written and directed by Taylor Swift. Now the rumors circulating in the media suggest that Sink might be joining the MCU pretty soon. She might essay the character of Songbird in Thunderbolts

A moderator team on Reddit which is responsible for leaking Marvel and DC news has hinted that a rumor from a reliable source just might be true and Marvel is eying Sadie Sink to sign up for Thunderbolts. There isn’t enough information regarding the plot and other details about the antihero group which will assemble in Thunderbolts for a government mission but at San Diego Comic-Con D23, Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige shared a spectacular concept art by Andy Park which showed the rest of the confirmed cast members all suited up for action.

According to the official website of Marvel, Songbird is the alter ego of Melissa Joan Gold and her other aliases are Screaming Mimi, Mimi Schwartz, and Margie Green. Songbird grew up on the streets and developed a cold and hard persona over time. She was originally a villain who has the ability of supersonic sound emission that can cause a variety of effects and damage to her opponents. She also has the power of flight, superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and agility.

Thunderbolts is currently under development and the confirmed cast list includes, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, David Harbour as Red Guardian / Alexei Shostakov, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross.
