Spinning Out Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

This is a live-update article and it will be updated as new details about Spinning Out Season 2 come our way. This is what we know so far.

Spinning Out

Spinning Out was among the countless titles introduced by Netflix at the beginning of the year 2020. The ice-skating drama series was released on January 1, 2020, and stars Kaya Scodelari as a young skater who's given a second chance to prove her skills. The first season ended in a cliffhanger. Does this mean the show's coming back for more? Here's what we know.

Has Spinning Out Been Renewed For Season 2?

Unfortunately, Netflix already canceled the show just a month after it was released. Netflix's decision looks irreversible despite fans begging the streaming platform to reconsider its verdict.

Fans were left hanging by the end of season one, and it looks like they will never find out what happens to Kat Baker (Kaya Scodelari) and bad boy Justin (Evan Roderick) anymore.

This is undoubtedly heartbreaking news to fans. However, Netflix has been known to unhesitatingly ax shows whenever they want to. The reason behind the cancellation isn't known yet. It's also worth noting that Netflix has always been secretive when it comes to its viewership data, so there's no way to confirm whether the show underperformed hence the cancellation.

What Is The Plot Of Spinning Out?

The plot of Spinning Out revolves around Kat Baker, a talented figure skater who keeps her bipolar disorder secret. After an unfortunate accident during a competition, she believes her career is over. However, a chance encounter with Justine, a rebellious skater, leads to a partnership for the Olympics duo ice skating competition.

Their relationship faces several challenges, and in the first season's finale, Justine decides to end both their personal and professional collaboration. However, he changes his mind, and the pair compete in Sectionals, the same rink where Kat fell.

As the show has been canceled, it is uncertain whether Kat will ever achieve success in the place where she previously fell. Additionally, the audience will never know what happens to Kat and Justine as the competition progresses.
