Space Jam 2 Snippets Leaked—Here’s What They Showed

Space Jam 2 snippets leaked revealing a lot about who is starring in the movie. Here’s everything you should know.

For those of you who may not know, Space Jam 2 is a film produced by and starring LeBron James, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, with Ryan Coogler, the Black Panther director, also directing the movie. It was filmed in 2019 and is set to release in July 2021.

Fans are pretty excited about this movie, the extent of which was witnessed as a snippet from the movie got leaked. 

An Instagram page showed a few snippets from the movie, showing that Space Jam 2 will have Joker, Pennywise, The Mask, and others from the Warner Bros. universe.



 

A couple of images were up on Instagram, claiming to be from LeBron James’ Space Jam 2, and showed Joker (what looked like Jared Leto), Jim Carrey as The Mask, and Pennywise, the IT movies’ creepy clown, all playing ref for a significant game in Space Jam 2.

Something interesting to note here is that all of these characters have one thing in common: they are villains and clowns.

What Redditors Said About It

A few Redditors also had something to say on this matter and proposed that Space Jam 2 will have properties from various Warner Bros. movies, such as Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, and The Matrix.

One Redditor exclaims, "This is true. Mad Max characters, Clockwork Orange, Joker, Pennywise, Penguin, Wicked Witch of the West, Agent Smith, are all in it!"

So, can we say that Space Jam 2 will be a ‘WBverse’ movie involving several characters from all the Warner Bros. movies, just like LEGO Batman?

As per IMDb, Space Jam 2 will also feature the War Machine actor from Marvel, Don Cheadle, as well as Sonequa Martin-Green from The Walking Dead. Another report revealed that several athletes, such as LeBron’s Lakers team player Anthony Davis, Chris Paul from the Houston Rockets, Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson, and WNBA players, Diana Taurasi, Chiney And Nneka Ogwumike would also be in the movie. 

It is worthwhile to note that the original movie Space Jam was animated and had premiered in 1996. The movie starred Bill Murray, Michael Jordan, a few other NBA players, as well as Looney Tune characters. The film had made $230 million worldwide at the box office.
