Fans loved the way her character evolved from season 1 to season 8, and how from a 'little bird' she became the 'Queen of the North.' Born in Northampton, England and grew up in a large Edwardian house in Chesterton, Warwickshire, Turner has won several awards for the role of Sansa Stark, including Empire Hero Award, Glamour Awards, and EWwy Award along with other several nominations.

It was in 2013 when Sophie Turner got her first role in the indie thriller 'Another Me' which was an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Catherine MacPhail. Right after fans saw the last episode of 'Game of Thrones' season 8 and bid goodbye to their favorite character of Sansa Stark as the Queen of the North, Sophie Turner is all up for promoting her latest upcoming movie, 'Dark Phoenix' with full power. 'Dark Phoenix' is 'X-Men's' spin-off and Sophie Turner is playing the lead character of Jean Grey who ultimately becomes Dark Phoenix. The upcoming movie hits theaters on June 7, 2019, and is the 12th film in the series of 'X-Men', following the story after 'X-Men: Apocalypse'. Fans await 'Dark Phoenix' as it will mark the end of an era of the legendary franchise.

The trailer of the movie shows the character of Jean Grey going through an evolution and becoming the Dark Phoenix. It all happens when Grey is hit by lethal radiation after which she becomes the most powerful mutant. In the trailer, Grey is seen struggling with the power as she feels burdened by it. Soon the inner demons and unstable power overpower Grey, and she becomes a threat to the planet, including the X-Men family. In the last 20 years, this is the first time when the X-Men family will be fighting against one of the deadliest enemies in history. Apart from Sophie Turner, the cast of 'Dark Phoenix' includes, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.

Sophie Turner has a lot on her plate this year, as she will soon be seen in 'Broken Soldier' movie. It is a drama-thriller with Sophie Turner and Mark Kassen as movie's lead roles. The story is about a war veteran named Freeman Bender who battles with the PSTD ordeal. He finds it cumbersome to be around people and socializing with strangers, therefore he starts avoiding people and places. But soon his life changes when he bumps into a lively teen girl, Penelope (played by Sophie). The girl makes him fall in love with life in him and gives him hope to live a happy life. The movie is written and directed by Matthew Coppola, and fans just cannot wait to see Sophie's new avatar in the movie. The other cast includes Ray Liotta, Ivana Milicevic, Meadow Williams, Mark Margolis, and Philip Ettinger. Even though there is no information about the release date, it is believed that the filming of the movie is completed and is currently in post-production stage.

Another fresh role of Sophie Turner will be seen in a romantic crime-thriller 'Heavy', in which she is paired with Daniel Zovatto. It is a story of a couple who leads a reckless life and does not value it. Daniel plays the role of the drug dealer who's codenamed as Seven. He is into dangerous affairs and deals with trust-fund clients and throws elite model parties with drug-fueled getaways. Things completely change when their old friend Dave, whose role is played by Darrell Britt-Gibson enters their life. The movie 'Heavy' is the feature directorial debut of Jouri Smit who is known for some of the famous short films like 'The Brothers Kowalski' and 'Candyland'. The movie is written by Seth Miller and the cast of the movie 'Heavy' includes Anastasia Marinina, Al Sapienza, Matias Varela, and Andreas Apergis. There is no update on the release date, but fans hope to hear more about Sophie Turner's latest movie soon!
