Why Are Producers Delaying The Show?
Well, the only reason any anime does not get a renewal or gets canceled is because of production cost and earnings. It was reported that, on average, Bones Studio tends to invest $2 million in conceiving an anime series. Therefore, the possibilities depend on the Blu-ray/DVD sales. No matter the second season received love and appreciation from its fans. Unfortunately, the studio didn’t make the expected cut in the profit from the two seasons plus one OVA.
Another reason behind late production could be the fact that ‘Snow White with the Red Hair’ is produced by Bones Studio, and the studio already has its hands on other popular shows like ‘My Hero Academia Season 4’, ‘Mob Psycho 100 Season 3’, and ‘Bungo Stray Dogs 3’. The studio has not confirmed anything for the Snow White fans.
Can Fans Expect the Third Season Of ‘Snow White With The Red Hair’?
Even though no official word has surfaced recently, the fact that Season 2 did not show a proper end to Zen and Shirayuki’s love story, fans can expect the third season to wrap up their incomplete love story. If things go as we hope for it to go, we might see it happening sometime in 2024 or 2025. We initially predicted that we would have at least heard something about the show in 2020, but the Coronavirus pandemic may have likely caused some delays.

Going with what’s in there in the manga of the series, the new season will show Shirayuki visiting the Kingdom of Clarines in the northern territory. The Scholar District is famous for its vast knowledge because the people over there share and collect information about the herbs. Therefore, with Ryuu, Shirayuki will research and invent new herbs.
During this, they will meet Prince Izana, who is laying low in the Lilias Pavillion. Shirayuki then will remember the first encounter she had with him, where he asked about her relationship with Zen. On the other hand, the next scene unfolds what Zen is up to. After his work, he goes into his bedroom and remembers the touch of Shirayuki and misses her badly. Meanwhile, someone barges into his room with a piece of news that leads to making up his mind to travel to the northern territory. But the question is, what was there in the news that made him go to the northern territory? That can only be answered after the third season is out.
