The comedy series about Bobby and Devin's epic global sneaker hunt has just arrived on Netflix but fans are already asking what's next.
This article was recently reviewed and is up to date as of December 19th, 2020.
A new comedy series has dropped on Netflix, and it speaks deeply to the souls of those who's lived their lives for the love of kicks.
Created by Jay Longino, Sneakerheads follows sneaker-obsessed pals who are on a quest to get the world's most expensive and sought-after sneaker.
After traveling the world and getting into all sorts of trouble in season 1, let's find out what's next for the comedy series.
Here's everything we know so far.
It's still a little early to tell, for Netflix is yet to renew Sneakerheads for season 2.
If the show's viewership record on its first 30 days on the platform pleases the streaming giant, then it is very likely that we'll get a new season. However, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix seems to be cutting a lot of shows from its filming schedule. Will Sneakerheads get the boot? We'll keep you updated as new information arises.
The show is yet to secure a renewal, but if it manages to get renewed before the year ends, we're likely to see season 2 around September 2021.
Season 1 was released on September 25, 2020, with six 20 minute episodes, so we're anticipating season 2 to follow the same format.
Shorter episodes will hopefully translate to shorter production time. We are also not discounting the possibility of delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic's impact on the film and television industry.
Sneakerheads season one introduced us to Devin, a former sneakerhead turned stay-at-home dad who falls back into his sneaker obsession after meeting his friend Bobby.
Desperate to earn the bucks, Devin agrees to join Bobby and the rest of the shoe aficionados in a global hunt for the elusive “Zeroes,” the holy grail of sneakers that could change their lives if they get their hands on it.
Towards the end of season 1, we saw Devin returning to his wife and confessing all the mischiefs he committed while pursuing the ultimate sneaker.
And while his lovely wife forgave him, something tells us that Devin will be up to more adventures soon, should the show get renewed for season 2.
Expect more epic sneaker-collecting adventures!
Nothing is confirmed yet, but leading cast members are likely to reprise their roles should the show get renewed for season 2.
Major cast members include Black-ish and The Last OG star Allen Maldonado as Devin, internet celebrity Andrew Bachelor as Bobby.
Other actors and actresses we are expecting to return are Jearnest Corchado, Matthew Josten, Yaani King, Justin Lee, and Aja Evans, among others.
Sneakerheads is yet to be renewed for season 2, so there's no official trailer yet as of this writing.
However, if you haven't watched season 1 episodes yet, we are dropping its trailer below so you could take a sneak peek at Devin and Bobby's adventurous sneaker world.
Sneakerheads is still available on Netflix.
