Lucy-Bleu Knight, the stepdaughter of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, has passed away, and the cause of death has been disclosed.
Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024. Slash made the announcement of Lucy-Bleu’s passing on July 19 by posting a statement on his Instagram page.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
The New York Post exclusively reports that the cause of death for 25-year-old Lucy Bleu has been determined to be hydrogen sulfide poisoning.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office additionally verified that the death was caused by suicide.
On July 19, while law enforcement was doing a welfare check, they discovered Ms. Knight unconscious in a private apartment. The New York Post was informed by the coroner’s office that the death was declared at 1500 hours. “An examination was performed by a deputy medical examiner on July 22. The cause of death was certified on August 29.”
The cause of death for Lucy-Bleu was first delayed due to decisions that said more testing was necessary.
The gas hydrogen sulfide is highly toxic and combustible, and it can be harmful to people.
The symptoms of minor exposure to the gas can include headaches, nausea, tremors, convulsions, delirium, and irritation of the skin or eyes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Severe exposure can cause unconsciousness or even death.
Lucy-Bleu was the daughter of Slash’s longtime partner, Meegan Hodges, and her ex partner Mark Knight. The guitarist first dated Hodges in 1989, and the pair then rekindled their relationship in 2015.
Slash considered Lucy-Bleu to be a stepsister to his biological children, sons London, 22, and Cash, 20.
A few hours after Slash broke the devastating news, Lucy-Bleu posted something on her Instagram.
It was a selfie that she took of herself with a caption that read: “Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry.
“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable.
“May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”
