Shazam sequel is knocking at the door, here's everything we know...
In 2019, David F. Sandberg brought to us Shazam, which turned out to be a hit. The hero didn't have the same kind of recognition like the other DC heroes however the movie turned many heads by being a sweet and creative story. Now, the sequel is much anticipated and nobody can wait. The news is that the sequel is right around the corner and this time the movie is titled, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, here's everything we know...
The future of DC and DCU is pretty promising! The long-awaited Shazam sequel will release on March 17th, 2023, per Deadline. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav had this to say about the movie:
“We have seen The Flash, Black Adam, and Shazam 2. We are very excited about them. We’ve seen them. We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better.”
Warner Bros. has not officially released any plot as of now, but we definitely got an idea by watching the trailer. Believing that the powers have been stolen by the kids from the gods, the sisters rebuild the Wizard's power-transferring staff that Billy breaks in the first movie. That is all we know so far. The film will contain sequences of action and violence, and language. The sequel will likely begin with Billy feeling extremely insecure as he feels that he is not a great superhero. In the trailer, we also see that he is struggling to manage all his superhero siblings. We can't wait to see how this movie unfolds.
The runtime of the movie will be around 2 hours and 10 minutes which is approximately 130 minutes.
Almost everybody returns for the second movie. The foster siblings are played by Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, and Grace Caroline Currey. We will also see Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, D. J. Cotrona, and Michelle Borth. Other returning actors include Djimon Hounsou and Cooper Andrews, who is known for his part in The Walking Dead.
