In the brand new movie, the 'Scream' saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.
Actors Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori have joined the cast of the upcoming horror movie, Scream 6.
The long-running genre-busting horror franchise is in the production stage of its brand new sequel, Scream 6. As we had reported earlier, a sixth installment of the Scream franchise is moving forward with a green light from Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures. Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick returning to pen the script.
The entire cast has not been revealed yet but Bloody Disgusting reported that horror maven Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori will be joining the cast. There will also be a host of familiar faces from the previous movie, including Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), Mason Gooding (Chad), and Jenna Ortega (Tara), all of whom have been confirmed to be returning for the new sequel.

The creators, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett had previously reached out to Samara Weaving for a role in the last film. “We were talking about it, but our schedules aren’t gonna work, which is a bummer,” Weaving had told Collider back in 2020. “We talked about it a lot, but unfortunately, because of scheduling, I couldn’t do it.”

In June, longtime Scream mainstay Neve Campbell announced that she will not be returning for the sixth movie because the offer "did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise," although subsequent unconfirmed rumors suggest that she has agreed to appear in two more films.

Niiiiiiiice. It's confirmed. I luv Samara Weaving. Just watched her in THE VALET & she killed it. SCREAM 5 was pretty wack but I'll still watch just for entertainment esp since I'm a Samara fan.
While all other plot details have been kept under wraps, the synopsis of the brand new movie reads, “The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” The film's executive producers include Williamson and Chad Villella, who is Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett's partner in the Radio Silence creative collective.
Weaving previously worked with Radio Silence on the 2019 horror film, Ready or Not. The actress can currently be seen in the Hulu film, The Valet, and recently starred in the streamer’s series Nine Perfect Strangers. She’ll next be seen in Stephen Williams’ drama, Chevalier, with Lucy Boynton and Minnie Driver, and Damien Chazelle’s buzzy period Hollywood flick, Babylon.
Revolori is best known for his collaboration with director Wes Anderson on films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The French Dispatch, and the upcoming Asteroid City, and for his role as Flash Thompson in the most recent trilogy of Spider-Man films. He stars in the Apple series Servant and will soon be seen in the Disney+ series Willow.
The sixth Scream film is scheduled for a March 31, 2023, theatrical release.
