Reynolds played one of the titular guys on a show called 'Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place'.
In the latter half of the ’90s, many networks tried to follow the success of Friends and wanted to make shows with young attractive people living together. Did you know that Ryan Reynolds was on one such show? He played one of the titular guys on the show Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place along with Traylor Howard and Richard Ruccolo. Often simply referred to as Two Guys and a Girl, the show ran for four seasons from 1998 to 2001 with nearly 100 episodes. The series followed the lives of a group of twenty-somethings living in Boston. Reynolds played the role of Michael "Berg" Bergen, a rebellious yet charming young man who seems to love causing chaos in the lives of his friends, most notably Peter Dunville, played by Richard Ruccolo, reports CBR. Not many people know about the series that seems to be long forgotten, but to Reynolds, it was one of the best stints he's had in his successful career.
Speaking to Inverse, the 45-year-old actor shared his enthusiasm for the show and a theoretical reunion. “I would do that in a heartbeat,” he said. “That was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had in my life. Truly. I mean it. I loved every second of it.” Reynolds added that he “loved that cast desperately” and that he’s still in touch with some of his co-stars. “Even yesterday I spoke with Nathan Fillion and Traylor Howard. But yeah, hopefully, we’ll see.” It seems Nathan Fillion also said he was in contact with an unnamed co-star and even discussed the possibility of a reunion! “A couple of years ago, I ran into one of my former cast members,” Fillion told Inverse. “We were laughing about old times, and he mentioned, ‘Wouldn’t a reunion be great?’ Wouldn’t that be cool? Just do a one-off and see what happens. So yeah, it’s been mentioned. Nothing’s planned. Nothing’s in the works. But the idea has been tossed around.”
As for Reynolds, the Free Guy star is currently working on the highly-anticipated Deadpool 3. There's not much information about the film so far but that could be changing soon. "I'll say this about [Deadpool 3] is I'll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope," said Reynolds to Collider. "So I'll be able to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road." Here's hoping!
