'Reply' is a South Korean comedy, romance, and fantasy series telecasted on tvN. Shin Won-ho directed the series, with a script written by Lee Woo-Jung. This series has a lot of amusing things that can make you stay on the couch all day with your popcorn. Season 1, titled 'Reply 1997', was released on July 24, 2012, and ended on September 18, 2012. A second season titled 'Reply 1994' was released on October 18, 2013, and ended on December 28, 2013.
Later, on November 6, 2015, the third season titled 'Reply 1988' was released and ended on January 16, 2016. All three seasons have 57 episodes, and it also has three bonus scenes. In a press conference in 2017, director Shin Won-ho said he was not working on the next season of 'Reply.' He wanted to focus on some other projects. That is why there is a chance that the fourth season will not happen.
The show was both critically and commercially successful and, it would be heartbreaking for the fans if season 4 is canceled. However, the director said he is waiting for the right story. So, right now, there is no official news about the fourth season of 'Reply'. Maybe, if it gets renewed in the upcoming months, it will release either in 2023 or 2024. Do not worry. 'Reply' 1988 is a drama focusing on five best friends, the cheerful Deok-sun, the irritable Jung-hwan, the joker Dong-ryeong, the innocent kid Sun-woo and, the reserved one Choi Taek.
This drama split up its focus between the teens and their parents. It reveals their teenage struggle to overcome issues every teen can relate to, how they grew up together, became successful in their own lives and the beautiful memories they shared.
