The ever talented and eccentric Nicolas Cage is suiting up to rescue the granddaughter of a powerful politician in this upcoming neo-noir action film, 'Prisoners of the Ghostland'.
Cage has never shied away from idiosyncratic roles in movies like 'Vampire’s Kiss', and 'Face/Off'.
Most recently, he starred as a man looking for his stolen pig in the drama film, 'Pig'.
But just when you think you've seen everything, Cage comes out with another performance that's equally as interesting as the last.
Cage describes 'Prisoners of the Ghostland' as "the wildest movie I've ever made."
The film is directed by Sion Sono, with a script from Aaron Hendry and Reza Sixo Safai.

Hero (Nicolas Cage) is a notorious criminal sent to rescue the governor's adopted granddaughter in exchange for his freedom.
The governor sent him in an intricate suit that will explode if he fails or bails out.
Hero must travel into the dark supernatural universe to rescue the missing granddaughter. He must face plenty of evil and outrageously powerful adversaries.
To escape the nightmarish world, Hero must find a way to break the evil curse controlling the mysterious Ghostland.

“I’m thrilled about it! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before,” Cage said during the Film Festival and Awards Macao (via IndieWire).
“It might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made, and that’s saying something. It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up. It’s just crazy. It’s way out there.”

Bill Moseley (House of 1000 Corpses) plays The Governor who sends Cage's character on a suicide mission to rescue his adopted granddaughter.
Joining them are Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as Bernice, Nick Cassavetes (Face/Off) as Psycho, and Tak Sakaguchi (Re: Born) as Yasujiro.
