Penn Badgley Is Back As Joe Goldberg As 'You' Season 4 Officially Begins Production

Badgley who plays the serial killer protagonist of the hit Netflix series was spotted filming in London.

You season 4 is officially on its way! The season was first announced by Netflix in October 2021, just days ahead of the show's highly-anticipated third season. The horror drama is based on Caroline Kepnes' best-selling novels and stars Penn Badgley since its 2018 inception as serial killer Joe Goldberg. "It's been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life," showrunner Sera Gamble said in a statement at the time. "We're deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past 3 seasons. The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in season 4," Gamble added.

It looks like Penn Badgley is back in character as he was spotted on set in London, filming scenes for season four of the fan-favorite psychological thriller, as per The Daily Mail. Tati Gabrielle, 26, who played Marienne Bellamy, a librarian and Joe's boss as well as his latest obsession, was also spotted on set. The actress looks different this time as she wore her long hair styled into a multitude of braids and dyed blonde. She was seen frantically running through the street, and seemed to be running away from something... or do we dare say, someone?

Spoiler alert for Season 3 ahead! In the third season, Joe (Badgley) and Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti, 27) were married and raising their son in a Northern California suburb filled with a unique set of neighbors. By the end, he kills her and follows a new obsession. Fans will recall that the finale found Joe in a Parisian café chasing after Marienne (Tati Gabrielle). As he sipped an espresso, Joe fantasized about running into her again. "Marriage almost ruined both of us, but we escaped," he ruminated. "Maybe the scars on our hearts make them stronger. All I know, mon amour, is I'll search the world if I have to. I will find you." Ugh... chills!

The plot for season 4 is still under wraps but we do know that Euphoria and The White Lotus star Lukas Gage would be joining the cast of the fourth season. "Lukas Gage is coming for You," Netflix teased, alongside a split of Gage, 26, and Badgley, 35. Lukas Gage plays a "hard-partying son of a wealthy family" who has learned to "do whatever it takes to get what you want."
