With the assistance of numerous staff members who are all experts in various areas of the housing market, such as business, luxury, condos, apartment buildings, and more, the reality show, Owning Manhattan follows real estate tycoon Ryan Serhant as he starts from scratch his upscale real estate firm, Serhant, in the competitive world of New York real estate. Drama naturally develops as the cast members compete with one another as well as in the real estate market, generating the kind of intensity that fans of Selling Sunset would like. But with season 2 now wrapped, can we expect more? Here’s everything we know.
Has Owning Manhattan Been Renewed For Season 2?
Fans of reality television, prepare yourself—Owning Manhattan Season 2 will return to Netflix in 2025.
Only a month after Season 1 debuted and swiftly made it into Netflix’s Top 10, Owning Manhattan Season 2 was officially announced in August 2024.
“We are thrilled with the news that our partners and friends at Netflix are moving forward with a Season 2 of Owning Manhattan,” Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the series executive producers and co-founders of World of Wonder Productions, told Variety in a statement at the time. “Ryan Serhant and the entire cast and production team put their souls into making an unforgettable series that combines compelling business, extraordinary production values and endless heart.”
In Owning Manhattan Season 1, Ryan Serhant drove the drama by pressuring his agents to bid against each other for listings of upscale real estate in New York City. This probably contributed to the show’s success because it created a lot of commotion between the cast members.
Who Will Return To “Owning Manhattan” Season 2?
Ryan Serhant, Genesis Suero, Chloe Tucker Caine, Jess Taylor, Tricia Lee, and more Season 1 favorites are anticipated to be part of the Owning Manhattan Season 2 cast.
“I’m giving everyone a heads up to invest in a couch with a seatbelt. Turbulence is coming,” Serhant teased to Tudum. “Remember how you felt in the last few minutes of the surprise Season 1 finale? That’s what you’ll feel for the entirety of Season 2.
“Tensions are high. Competition is fierce. Inventory is low everywhere, which means there are not enough homes for our buyers, let alone our agents. So it’s all-out real estate warfare right now, with a lot of pressure on me as CEO to lead us in the right direction.”
Fans will recall that Serhat Jonathan Normolle ruined a showing for a $10 million property at the conclusion of Season 1 after discovering that he was disparaging his colleagues on the company’s podcast, The Owning Manhattan Podcast.
However, Normolle claimed that he had planned the firing, telling Daily Mail, “I had a plan because I was under contract with Ryan and all the sponsorships. The only way I could get out of those contracts was if I got Ryan mad enough for him to fire me. ‘And the only way I could do that is by saying all these things like ‘Ryan had done nothing when he was my age, whereas I have been on Forbes under 30. ‘I made my first $100 million in my first year in real estate. I was on the cover of Downtown Magazine, I was Rookie of the Year and I won most influential broker at Broker of the Year Awards.’”
“I went in on Ryan with all these things, and he got upset enough to fire me on TV and instantly, these contracts were completely void.”
It is unclear if Normolle will make an appearance in season 2.
When Will”Owning Manhattan” Season 2 Premiere?
The ten new episodes of Owning Manhattan Season 2 are anticipated to debut sometime in 2025, though Netflix has not yet confirmed an official release date. They will all probably be even more juicy than the first season.
