One-Punch Man Season 3: Release Date, Plot, News And More

If we allude to the manga series as a reference, One-Punch Man season 3 will mostly show the Heroes  Association launching an attack on their evil counterparts

Fans have loved every bit of 'One Punch Man' and now they are waiting for the arrival of the third installment. This Japanese webcomic is produced by ONE and was originally a manga that was turned into an anime. The show consisted of some spectacular fighting scenes and a powerful storyline that made the show viral with 7.2 million views in record time. The popularity in Japan for the original manga was huge and sold over 10 million copies, and in 2015, it was nominated for an Eisner Award. The show is an amalgamation of fights, humor, emotions and good music that makes it even more interesting to watch. 'One Punch Man' follows an entirely different storyline that can be considered as an epic fighting animation series.

For those who have been following the show throughout would know how the story evolved and formed a strong storyline. The first season was dedicated to establishing the core characters of Saitama, Genos and the Heroes Association, and season 2 conceived the storyline by moving towards more traditional story structure by introducing the character of Orochi who is an overarching antagonist. The show has entertained the fans with two successful seasons, and now fans are growing impatient to know when will they see the third season of 'One Punch Man' and here is everything we know about the third season.

Will There Be A Third Season Of 'One Punch Man'?

It looks like there will be a third season of 'One Punch Man', as on the official Twitter account of the show, which was translated by Comicbook, stated that the third season was being planned. However, the release date hasn't been talked about officially yet. Fans were not so happy to wait for almost four years for the second season to come after the first. The delay happened because of the change and modification in the cast and team, in the place of director — from Shingo Natsume to Chikara Sakurai, and in terms of the animation house, from Madhouse to J.C.Staff. However, if the current team remains the same and if no major modification happens with the cast and the studio further, then we can expect the third season to happen sometime in the latter half of 2020, or first half of 2021 to be more realistic.

However, it was recently reported that a group of fans has started a petition for One-Punch-Man's third season, to rehire the former director and the old team, and if the pressure is strong enough to change their mind, then we might see the third season arriving sometime in late 2022.

What Will Be The Storyline Of Season 3 Of 'One Punch Man'?

The Monster Association played a vital role in One-Punch Man season 2, however, season 2 barely showed anything solid about the band of madcap villains. If we allude to the manga series as a reference, One-Punch Man season 3 will mostly show the Heroes Association launching an attack on their evil counterparts, with all the major S-Class heroes invading their hideout and engaging in face-to-face battles. Having said that, we can expect season 3 to be full of action-packed affairs with several epic fighting scenes. We will also be seeing Saitama's lack of screen time that will continue and Genos may also be largely absent in the next season of One-Punch-Man.

After the defeat of Elder Centipede, the manga focuses majorly on characters such as Child Emperor, Atomic Samurai, and Garou and introduces a raft of new Monsters. The good thing is Saitama also secretly participates in the mission and fans might be lucky enough to see at least some degree of caped baldness. Even though there will be more fight scenes, the One Punch Man will not lose the trademark sense of humor in season 3.

Do Fans Want Season 3 Of 'One Punch Man'?
