Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles Remain Good Friends, Says Insider

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles made several headlines last year just before their seemingly sudden breakup. Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are still "good friends" roughly three months after they parted ways. A source tells PEOPLE that Olivia Wilde is in a great place following her split from the singer and actor. 

"She's focused on her kids and co-parenting with Jason," the source says of Wilde and her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. "She and Harry are good friends, there's no animosity whatsoever. Plus she's got many different directing projects in the works."

Many informants confined that back in November the two of them were taking a break from their relationship and also mentioned that the decision came when Styles was touring and Wilde decided to focus on her kids and work in L.A.

"They're still very close friends," a source told PEOPLE at the time. Added a friend: "Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart."

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde met on the sets of Don't Worry Darling, back in September 2020 and stepped out as a couple while attending a wedding in 2021. They kept all the details about their relationship under wraps and kept it as private as they could. However, the two were spotted time and again together. Wilde was also seen sporting Style's merchandise on coffee runs. 

Harry Styles told Rolling stone in August that he has never talked about his life away from work publicly and found that it's benefited him positively.

"There's always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn't going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way," he said about keeping his personal life pretty private all the time.

The two of them started dating after Wilde split from her then-partner Jason Sudeikis. 

"Olivia still harbors resentment toward Harry," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"They made big plans and were looking at buying property together. Olivia really thought she and Harry were heading toward marriage. But he pulled the rug from under her, and she feels he was using her."

While the insider said that they are still pretty close, news surfaced online a couple of months back that Olivia was disappointed with Styles, "They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were going to work through it all, she is disappointed," the insider noted.
