“A year ago, I was on lockdown in Tribeca, so I never imagined we could return 12 months later with a new movie screening for a live audience in our neighborhood. I’m VERY happy," Soderbergh said along with the premiere date announcement.
The film was previously called 'Kill Switch' and has been in development since 2019, with the highly-claimed director Steven Soderbergh announced to helm the action period crime thriller.
Filming was supposed to begin on April 1, 2020, but got delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The film finally entered production on September 28 that year, under a new title, 'No Sudden Move'.
Filming wrapped up by November 12, 2020.
The upcoming film has a stellar cast led by the Grammy award-winning actor Don Cheadle as Curt Goynes.
Joining him is Benicio del Toro as Ronald Russo, David Harbour as Matt Wertz, Amy Seimetz as Mary Wertz, Jon Hamm as Joe Finney, Ray Liotta as Frank Capelli, Kieran Culkin as Charley.
Brendan Fraser is also coming as Jones, along with Julia Fox as Vanessa Capelli.
