‘No.6’ Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

‘No. 6’ is a dystopian anime series that aired 11 episodes in 2011. The anime follows the story of a young boy, who discovers a wicked truth about the utopian city he is living in. Studio Bones adapted the anime from a Japanese novel series written by Atsuko Asano

‘No.6‘ gained a solid following when it was released. However, despite its popularity, we still did not get a follow-up season for the anime. Is it still happening in the future? Here is what we know.

Will There Be ‘No. 6’ Season 2?

Despite its popularity, ‘No. 6’ is still not renewed for season 2. Fans have signed online petitions for another season of the anime. Sadly, their wishes remain ungranted.

Is There A Chance For No.6 To Return In The Future?

It has been over a decade since the last episode of ‘No. 6’ aired, and it seems unlikely for it to return now. The anime aired in Japan from July to September 2011. ‘No.6’ has a manga version and also different light novel series. The anime mostly takes the light novel series as its source material. Fans loved both the anime and the light novel. However, they were dissatisfied with the anime’s ending. Despite the disappointment, ‘No.6’ still gained traction and popularity. The anime currently holds a 7.57/10 rating on MyAnimeList, from over 201k users.

That is why it is not surprising that fans signed and created petitions after Studio Bones did not renew the anime for season 2 after a while. However, not every petition gets heard. Until now, there is still no word about the anime’s renewal.

It seems like the anime was just a one-time deal to help promote its source material, which is sad because many fans have already invested their emotions in the show. As of now, a new season seems very unlikely. We will update this space should there be any changes in the future.

What Is The Plot Of ‘No. 6’?

‘No. 6’ tells the story of a young boy who seeks justice in a is a dystopian post-war world.
