Devi's love triangle problems and high-school drama are far from over. Here's what we know about a potential 'Never Have I Ever' Season 3.
'Never Have I Ever' Season 2 is finally here but we know that you are already wondering what will happen to Devi's romance now that she finally faced her love triangle problem.
'Never Have I Ever' is a coming-of-age comedy series on Netflix, created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The second season of the series was released on Netflix in Mid-July and quickly skyrocketed to Netflix's top list worldwide.
The second season left us with many avenues to explore for another season. So, without further ado, let's find out if the show will be coming back for more.
It's still a little early for renewal. The second season of 'Never Have I Ever' has just released on July 15, 2021, roughly three weeks as of this writing. Netflix often renews shows at least a month after a season's premiere, even for popular titles like 'Never Have I Ever.' The wait can extend until a few months.
But don't worry, because we are very confident that 'Never Have I Ever' will return for more. The show is among the most popular titles on the platform. It easily sits on the top 10 spots of over 70 countries and even made it to the number 1 spot in several territories, including the United States.
With these awesome stats, it's just a matter of time before we get a renewal announcement. We will update this space once the show is renewed.
We waited for 15 months before 'Never Have I Ever' returned for season 2. The first season premiered in April 2020, and the second season arrived in July 2021.
If the third season will follow a similar schedule, then 'Never Have I Ever' might release around October 2022. We will update this space once we get more information.
When Devi had a hard time deciding between Ben and Paxton, she made a surprising decision and tries to date both. However, having two boyfriends is not exactly as fun as it sounds, and she soon starts losing both. Things got even more complicated when a new Indian girl, Aneesa, came into the picture. Devi and Paxton eventually rekindled their relationship, but Ben is upset despite his budding romance with Aneesa. Eleanor told Ben that Devi originally wants to be with him, and he's now more confused.
Will he let go of Aneesa and choose to pursue Devi knowing that he has a fair chance? Or will his new relationship with Aneesa eventually make him forget about Devi
Meanwhile, Devi and Paxton might've started to sort their romantic issues, but we are pretty sure that more problems are waiting for them in the new season. The third season of 'Never Have I Ever' will likely explore their relationship further, including the challenges they will have to face.
Creator Mindy Kaling has already hinted at plenty of changes and challenges ahead.
"I’ve watched enough romantic comedies that it’s not interesting unless it’s constantly shifting and changing. Having the lead character be happy in love is not super interesting to me. It’s more suspenseful when we don’t know," Kaling told Entertainment Weekly.
We can't wait for Netflix to greenlit the show for season 3 to find out what the future holds for Devi and Paxton's relationship.
We are still waiting for Netflix to renew the show for season 3 and announce the official casting. Nonetheless, the following cast is highly likely to reprise their roles.
