Finding love can be hard for anyone. For young adults on the autism spectrum, exploring the unpredictable world of dating holds its own unique challenges. The show is back for another season this year but this time it is based in America. Six single people on the autism spectrum decide to take a leap into the dating world o find love. There are dozens of dating shows, many of them on Netflix as well. But what truly sets apart Love on the Spectrum is the insightful exploration of the complexities of romance for those on the autism spectrum. Viewers and fans of the show have noted how they can't help but root for the cast members as opposed to other shows that they watch for mainly entertainment purposes. The show is heartwarming, to say the least.

Cian O'Clery, the show's creator, director, and executive producer, said, "People on the spectrum want love just like everybody else does. It's really refreshing and nice to be able to show people on an authentic dating journey who aren't picture-perfect, good-looking people looking for Instagram followers." He added, "The number one thing I hope people will get from the series is that they'll understand more about autism. We're telling autistic stories via the lens of dating and relationships, but really, it's about getting to know these people and understanding the diversity of autism and the fact that everyone is so different. It's something you just can't make assumptions about."
