Netflix’s ‘Far From Home’ Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Nigeria has touched down on the streaming giant Netflix with the Young Adult Drama Far From Home. It follows a young and aspiring artist who tries to better the lives of him and his loved ones when he enters the world of luxury after he gets a scholarship to attend a hghly prestigious school.  Is the show going to return for more? Let’s explore.

Has Far From Home Been Renewed For Season 2?

Far From Home has not yet been renewed for a season 2 as of this writing. But do we see a future for this show on Netflix? Short answer, no. The show has entered a very crowded field, competing with the likes of Elite. The one positive for the show is that there isn’t much Netflix Original content from Africa so Netflix may consider bringing it back for a new season to have more African content. Right now, only time will tell. If the show’s viewing statistics impressed Netflix then it’s a given that we will see more. But the show’s popularity isn’t very high, which isn’t good news for fans. Our best guess is that Far From Home will not be returning for season 2.

Who Will Be In The Cast Of Far From Home Season 2?

We don’t think Far From Home will be returning for season 2. But if it does, we expect the original cast to reprise their roles. The cast includes:

Mike Afolarin
Elma Mbadiwe
Richard Mofe-Damijo
Bimbo Akintola
Funke Akindele
Genoveva Umeh
Olumide Oworu
Adesua Etomi

What Will Be The Plot Of Far From Home Season 2?

At the end of the first season we see a main character gain control of a criminal empire. A new season may show how this develops. There are also a few arcs left to be completed so there is lots of potential for an intriguing plot for a second season. If the demand is there, we can see more of the characters.
