Due to binge-watching all three seasons—including the third, which debuted this month—one series is dominating the Netflix top 10.
Here is evidence that this Netflix TV drama is incredibly popular, in case you were ever in doubt.
Two years after season two, the 10-episode third season premiered last Thursday, June 5. Fans, you’ve been rewarded for your patience!
Of course, there have been some criticisms, but if the worldwide viewing times are any indication, it all appears to have been worthwhile in the end.
Georgia Miller, a 30-year-old single mother with a complicated past, is portrayed by Brianna Howey in the aforementioned television series. In an attempt to establish a new, secure life in the New England town, she and her 15-year-old daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) relocate to Wellsbury, Massachusetts, which is a charming town.
But as secrets are revealed, we quickly discover that this is not as simple as it seems.
Ginny & Georgia has gained popularity since the release of season one on the streaming service. In its first 28 days, 52 million subscribers watched the show, accumulating 381 million hours of viewing time.
The popularity has yet to fade as seen by the effect of the third season’s release, with 178,200,000 hours viewed so far.
Given that season one is trending globally with 36,600,000 hours viewed and season two has added 32,100,000 hours viewed, the show may perhaps be gaining new fans or perhaps devoted viewers wanted a journey down memory lane.
Since the release of the third season, the enthusiastic responses have been overwhelming.
One ecstatic viewer posted on X, asking, “WHY IS SEASON 3 OF GINNY AND GEORGIA SO F***ING GOOD????!?!?”
A different admirer praised the change, writing: “Everybody went to Netflix to watch Ginny & Georgia season 3 expecting to laugh at the usual cringy scenes, but instead got hit with a gut wrenching emotional rollercoaster season that was so unexpectedly good & left us in tears.”
According to Rotten Tomatoes, season three has the highest rating at 69%, followed by season one at 68% and season two at 60%.
