Netflix Subscribers Have Just A Few Days Left To Watch All Three Seasons Of This ‘Must Watch Gem’ With 93% Ratings

Netflix users have a limited amount of time to watch a dark comedy series that viewers have dubbed a “must-watch gem.”

With the addition of new films and TV shows every week or so, the streaming service is continuously updating its library. But Netflix also has to frequently take titles out of its collection, mostly because licenses are about to expire.

If this specific series was ever on your list of things to watch, then you better get to it now. In the show, Ron Livingston of the Band of Brothers plays Sam, a recovered alcoholic and former music critic who now runs a substance misuse support group in Seattle, Washington.

Even though his own life is still in complete chaos, he grudgingly helps others get well.

In addition, Laura Mennell, Anja Savcic, Mat Fraser, Toby Levins, Mark Brandon, and Will Sasso play Ben Burns, Sam’s best friend and sober sponsor.

Before the network shut down in April 2020, the program aired for three seasons on the AT&T Audience Network after making its debut there in October 2017.

On January 1, 2024, Netflix acquired a license for all three seasons and added them to its collection. Naturally, we’re referring to Loudermilk, which takes its name from its main character, Sam Loudermilk.

There are just a few days left to complete your binge if you haven’t already, as the series will be removed from Netflix on July 1.

The dark comedy has received a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes for all three seasons.

The consensus of reviews commended Ron Livingston’s “strong central performance” and Loudermilk’s “sharp writing, solid foundation,” noting that he was “perfectly cast in this endearing dark comedy about a rock critic turned recovering alcoholic.”

Elsewhere on the site, one fan wrote: “Must watch television. Loudermilk touches on serious issues with humour, compassion and recognizes the absurdity of life.”

“A gem of a show,” a second typed, as a third chipped in: “I haven’t liked a tv comedy this much in a very long time. I wish they were still making seasons.”

A fourth wrote: “Pretty much perfect in every way. BRAVO,” as somebody else said: “Loved it. Just the right mixture of comedy, tender moments and serious issues.”

Fans quickly responded to the news of its removal on Reddit.

“Loudermilk leaving Netflix on July 1 in Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States,” a single individual stated.

“What are we supposed to do now?” asked another admirer. As time passed, the thought crossed my mind: “Sucks, just started watching it again too.”

A third person responded, “Say it ain’t so,” while a fourth person posted on social media, “Damn, sad day.”

Another person commented, “Literally just finished watching this,” When I noticed it was going, I binge-watched it. I sincerely hope there will be a fourth season of this amazing show.

Netflix is currently offering all three of Loudermilk’s seasons for streaming until July 1.
