Brandon Riegg, the vice-president of Netlix's unscripted and documentary series, stated, "Squid Game took the world by storm with [director Hwang Dong-hyuk's] captivating story and iconic imagery. We're grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment. Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest-ever cash prize at the end."

There is no word on when this game show will premiere but we will keep you up to date on any new details that come our way.

Squid Game has also been officially renewed for a second season. The Director and creator of the series Hwang Dong-hyuk spoke about some of his ideas for the new season, comparing it to a significant Star Wars character. "As for the Front Man who was also a past winner but became a Front Man, it's like Darth Vader," said Dong-hyuk. "Some end up Jedi and some become Darth Vader, right? I think that maybe Gi-hun will go through a certain critical point where he is put through a test as well."
