The first film on our list is the 1995 psychological horror 'Safe.' The plot reads:
Carol White, a Southern Californian housewife, is ailing from an inexplicable disease. Her condition is deteriorating with every passing day and she is unable to find a cure for it.
Todd Haynes directed the film, and it stars Julianne Moore, Peter Friedman, Xander Berkeley, Susan Norman, Kate McGregor-Stewart, and James LeGros.
The second film on our list is the 2013 martial arts drama film 'The Grandmaster.' The plot reads:
The peaceful life of Ip Man, a martial artist, is threatened when he is chosen by the Southern masters to represent them so he can take on Gong Yutian, a martial arts grandmaster from the North.
Wong Kar-wai directed the film, and it stars Tony Leung, Zhang Ziyi, Chang Chen, Zhao Benshan, Song Hye-kyo, and Wang Qingxiang
The third film on our list is the 2014 Western comedy 'A Million Ways to Die in the West.' The plot reads:
